Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails where the two differ.
1. Who we are
VISO (including VISO Lite and this website, the "Service") is operated by Orango Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore ("Orango", "we", "us"). Orango is responsible for your personal data as described in this policy. You can reach us and our Data Protection Officer at contact@visohq.com.
2. Personal data we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: phone number or email address, password (stored in hashed form), or the identifier and basic profile we receive from Google, Facebook or Apple if you sign in with them.
- Profile information: nickname, gender, date of birth or age, country or region, languages, profile photos and videos, bio and interests.
- Verification information: if you take part in real-person verification, a selfie or short video of your face, which we compare with your profile photos (see "Verification" below).
- Content and communications: messages, voice messages, photos, videos, posts, comments, gifts you send and receive, and your activity in calls, live rooms and party rooms.
- Support and reports: what you tell us when you contact us, appeal a decision or report someone.
- Host and agency information: if you apply as a host or agency, the application details you provide and, where needed for payouts, payment and identity details required by our payment partners and the law.
Information collected when you use the Service
- Purchases and balances: products bought, amounts, currency, time, order and transaction identifiers from the app store or payment provider, coin balances and spending history. We do not receive your full card number.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, network type, IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifier (where you allow it), push notification token, crash logs and performance data.
- Usage data: features you use, pages viewed, call duration and quality, matching and recommendation interactions.
- Approximate location: your country or region, derived from your IP address, SIM or device settings, used to show relevant users and prices and to comply with local laws. We only use precise location if you choose to grant that permission for a feature that needs it.
- Camera and microphone: used only while you are in a call, live room, recording or verification and only after you grant permission. Live audio and video are transmitted in real time and are not recorded and kept by default.
- Safety samples: to detect nudity, violence, fake live appearances and other violations, we take periodic snapshots or short samples of live video and audio and analyse them automatically; flagged samples may be reviewed by trained moderators.
Information from others
- Sign-in providers (Google, Facebook, Apple) according to your settings with them.
- App stores and payment providers, confirming purchases, refunds and chargebacks.
- Attribution partners, telling us which advertising campaign led to an install.
- Other users, for example when they report you or send you a gift.
Verification
Real-person verification compares the face in your selfie with the face in your profile photos to confirm the photos are of you and that you are a live person. This involves processing facial features, which some laws treat as biometric data. We use it only for verification, fraud prevention and safety, never to identify you to others or for advertising, and we ask for your consent before you start. Verification images are kept while your account is active so we can investigate impersonation and fraud, and are deleted with your account.
3. How we use personal data
- To create and run your account and provide the Service, including calls, live rooms, messaging, translation, gifts and VIP benefits.
- To show you people and rooms you may like and to match you with other users.
- To process purchases, keep track of coins and items, and settle host earnings.
- To keep the Service safe: verifying users, detecting and preventing fraud, spam, fake accounts, payment abuse and underage use, moderating content, and enforcing our Terms.
- To provide customer support and respond to reports and appeals.
- To measure and improve performance, fix bugs and develop new features.
- To send service messages and, where you agree, notifications about activity and offers. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- To measure the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns.
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising in the app.
4. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: contract (to provide the Service you signed up for); legitimate interests (keeping the Service safe, preventing fraud, improving the Service and measuring our marketing, balanced against your rights); consent (for example camera and microphone access, verification, precise location and optional notifications — you can withdraw consent at any time); and legal obligation (for example tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests).
5. How we share personal data
We share personal data only as described here:

Our service providers may only use personal data to provide services to us and must protect it.
6. What other users can see
Your nickname, profile photos and videos, gender, age, country or region, languages, verification badge, bio, VIP status, posts and activity in public rooms are visible to other users. Messages and calls are visible to the people you communicate with. Anyone in a live room or party room can see and hear what you share there. Please think before sharing.
7. International transfers
We are based in Singapore and our providers operate in several countries, so your personal data may be processed outside the country where you live. When we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps required by applicable law to protect it, such as contractual safeguards that provide a standard of protection comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
8. How long we keep data
- Account and profile data: for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, there is a 30-day period during which you can change your mind; after that the account is closed permanently and we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except as set out below.
- Purchase and payout records: kept for as long as required by tax, accounting and anti-fraud obligations, normally up to 7 years.
- Safety samples and moderation records: samples that are not flagged are discarded shortly after analysis; records of violations and enforcement may be kept for as long as needed to prevent repeat abuse and to defend legal claims.
- Logs and technical data: normally no longer than 12 months.
- We may keep data longer if the law requires it or to deal with an ongoing investigation or dispute.
9. Your choices and rights
- In the app: you can edit your profile, delete posts and photos, block and report users, and change permissions and notification settings.
- Delete your account: in the app or by email — see Delete Account.
- Other rights: depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email contact@visohq.com with your VISO ID. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law (normally within 30 days).
- Advertising identifier: you can reset it or opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority (in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commission).
10. Security
We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login details private.
11. Children
VISO is only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we close the account and delete their data, subject to any legal duty to keep and report it. If you believe a minor is using VISO, contact contact@visohq.com. See our Child Safety Standards.
12. Additional information for certain regions
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: you have the rights described in section 9 and may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
United States residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under state privacy laws. You may request access, correction or deletion as described in section 9 and will not be discriminated against for doing so.
Brazil, India, and other countries with data protection laws: you have the rights provided by your local law, which you can exercise through the contact details below.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other appropriate means before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last changed.
